A man who was taken to hospital after a woman’s body was found in Sutton-in-Ashfield has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Police found the body of the 44-year-old woman at the home on Ridge Close, part of the Carsic estate in the town.
Following the discovery on Monday, detectives said a man, also 44, had been taken to hospital with injuries believed to be connected to the same incident.
He has now been released by medics and immediately arrested by police on suspicion of murder. He is expected to be questioned this evening.
Police have not yet released the identity of the woman who died, or given any details on her cause of death, but officers say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
