Police have detained a man being treated in hospital after an incident which led to the discovery of a woman’s body.
Officers found the 43-year-old woman dead at the home in Ridge Close, Sutton-in-Ashfield, on Monday morning.
The man, also 43, was taken to hospital where he is expected to be questioned by detectives after receiving treatment.
A Notts police spokesman added the woman’s death is currently being treated as unexplained.
They added: “The man is currently detained at hospital as officers investigate the circumstances.
“He is undergoing medical treatment with regards the same incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing and no others persons are sought in relation to the incident.”
No further details about the man’s injuries have been released.
