Two pedestrians hit by bus outside Victoria Centre

Two pedestrians have been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus outside the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.

A Notts Police spokesman said it happened at 11.05am on Upper Parliament Street and involved an elderly man and a woman.

Both have been taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre. The man is said to be seriously hurt, while the woman suffered minor injuries.

Two ambulances and several police cars are at the scene, and people travelling through the city centre are being warned to expect delays.

Notts Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101.
