Sneinton shooting: Three more men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Three more men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting in Sneinton.

Notts Police said two men in their 20s and one man in his thirties were detained in the Porchester Road area on Monday night.

People living nearby reported seeing armed police close off Porchester Road’s junction with Carlton Road at around 9pm.

The arrests were made in connection with Saturday’s incident in woodland between Sneinton Boulevard and Colwick Road.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the leg and back in the attack at around 8.40pm. He remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Monday evening’s operation took the total number of people arrested in connection with the investigation to six.

A 22-year-old man arrested earlier on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed, along with a 30-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Another man was arrested on Monday but has been released without charge.
