A teenager has died after a road accident in south Nottinghamshire early this morning.
Notts Police say the 18-year-old man was driving from Sutton Bonington towards his home in Kingston-on-Soar at around 2.06am when the crash happened. Officers say no-one else was in the car.
The emergency services were called to the scene on Station Road between the two Rushcliffe villages, but he was pronounced dead soon afterwards. The road was closed early on Friday morning while police examined the scene.
Police did not name the man but said he was from Kingston-on-Soar.
Officers are appealing to anyone with information to contact Notts Police on 101 quoting incident number 47 of September 30.
