Two men bailed following Derby Road crash which killed two men

Two men have been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a crash on Derby Road that killed two men.

The crash happened on Derby Road between Bardills Island and Priory Island at around 7pm on Friday (November 25) involving two cars and a lorry.

Two men were pronounced dead at the scene and have not yet been identified by police.

The road was closed in both directions between the islands and was not reported to be opened for over 24 hours after the incident.

The road is open now.

A 22-year-old man and 24-year-old man were arrested yesterday (Saturday November 26) in connection with the collision and were bailed today (Sunday November 27).

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident 797 of November 25; police would also like to speak to anyone with a dash cam who was travelling in the area at the time.
