A52 eastbound closed near Nottingham after man dies in serious crash

Part of the A52 has been closed south of Nottingham after a man died in a ‘serious collision’ on Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the incident at 9.30am, between the Nottingham Knight roundabout and the Wheatcroft Island.

The crash closed both lanes of the eastbound side of the road. The westbound side is still fully open.

Officers said one man died in the single-vehicle crash.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “Following the serious collision, we expect the road to be closed for some time.”
