Nottinghamshire Police are investigating a collision on the A614 near Ollerton that happened in the early hours of the morning.
Nottinghamshire Police have closed the road and put diversions in place at the scene which happened at around 1:20am.
The collision involved a black Ford Fiesta and an artic lorry.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta was seriously injured in the collision.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were assisting the police at the scene and said the road was likely to be closed for some time.
On Twitter they said there had been a very serious collision over night on the A614 between Worksop and Ollerton and were warning people to avoid the area if possible.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the incident to call 101 quoting incident number 44.
