A614 crash: 21-year-old victim named

A 21-year-old man that was killed in the A614 crash has been named.

Alex Saxby was driving a Ford Fiesta when it collided with an articulated lorry in Blyth Road, Perlethorpe.

Mr Saxby, of Forest Town, Mansfield, sustained serious injuries and died at the scene of the crash.

Nottinghamshire Police were at the scene for several hours and had closed the road after the incident which happened at around 1:20am.

The road has now been reopened.

Police are asking any witnesses of the collision to come forward by calling 101 quoting incident 44.
