The air ambulance has been called out to deal with a crash between two cars and a lorry at the rear of Meadow Lane Stadium.

Nottinghamshire Police received a call at 2.33pm this afternoon (Wednesday December 13) to reports of a collision.

The collision happened at the junction between Meadow Lane and County Road.

County Road at its junction with London Road was closed along with Meadow Lane at its junction with Lady Bay Bridge while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The roads have since reopened.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: “One of the drivers of one of the vehicles has sustained injuries.

“The indication is that the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“The fire service and air ambulance were also in attendance along with officers from Nottinghamshire Police.”

The incident caused delays to some bus services that run through the area.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service Tweeted to say crews from London Road and Highfields dealt with the collision on County Road.

The collision happened at the rear of the stadium and the fire service had warned ‘delays are likely’.
