A house has been left severely damaged after Fire fighters put out the blaze at Bestwood Estate.
Nottingham Fire and Rescue service were called to the house fire on the ground floor of a two story house on Eardley Road, Bestwood Estate at 2.27pm on Wednesday.
Three fire engines tackled the blaze at the house, which is believe to be unoccupied.
It took an hour to put out the flames and the ground floor has been severely damaged.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said that the fire is not being treated as suspicious and is believed to be down to faulty wiring and no further action is being taken.
