A body has been found in the search for a Nottingham woman who went missing in London.

Artist Sarah Cunningham – originally from the Wollaton area of Nottingham – went missing in the early hours of Saturday, November 2 in Camden.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Monday that a body had been discovered on the tracks at Chalk Farm Underground Station after emergency services were called to reports of a casualty.

The force said it’s waiting for formal identification to take place, but Sarah’s family have been informed.

A spokesperson said: ”While we await formal identification, Sarah’s family have been informed of this development. They have asked that their privacy be respected at this very difficult time.

“Officers from the Met are working with colleagues in the British Transport Police to look into the circumstances.

“The death is being treated as unexpected but at this time it is not thought to be suspicious.”

Sarah was originally from Nottingham and was an artist who had moved to London, with her work featured in exhibitions in Aspen, Berlin, Los Angeles and New York.

Her brother Anthony Cunningham had previously appealed on social media site X, asking for help locating her.

The post said: “My sister Sarah Cunningham has been missing since 2.30am in Camden.

“Last seen leaving apartment building on Jamestown Road. She was wearing a black outfit.

“If you have any information please let me or the police know. She has been officially reported as missing.”
