Boy, 16, arrested in connection with Sutton-in-Ashfield stabbing released on bail

A 16-year-old boy arrested in connection with a stabbing in Sutton-in-Ashfield has been released on conditional bail.

Paramedics were called to Bishop Street just before 12.30am on Wednesday (July 11) and found a 38-year-old man with stab wounds.

He was taken to the QMC for treatment but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police enquiries are ongoing – it’s believed the victim was stabbed on Northwood Avenue before making his way to Bishop Street.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call Notts Police on 101 quoting incident number 18 of July 11.
