Video: Carl Froch speaks to Notts TV’s Kate Chaplin
Four-time super-middleweight boxing champion Carl Froch and iconic fashion designer Sir Paul Smith are among Nottingham celebrities donating artwork to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
England cricketer Stuart Broad, two Michelin-star chef Sat Bains and BAFTA award-winning actor Hugh Grant have also submitted work to be sold at the auction later this month.
More than 100 pieces of art will be available for purchase online until Tuesday, November 22, and there will be a live auction, selling 38 pieces, the following day at Nottingham Contemporary.
Property agency Innes England is supporting the event, with its managing director Tim Garratt donating an art photograph of his own.
He said: “Cancer Research UK undertakes vital work and we are proud to be supporting this auction. We hope the auction will raise much-needed funds for the charity.”
The artwork will also be on show at a free exhibition at David Lloyd gym in West Bridgford, from November 19-20, from 10am until 4pm.
