A new chain café offers hundreds of variations of chocolate drinks to try alongside coffee and pastries.
Knoops opened on Friday (May 3) on Clumber Street, near Old Market Square in the former Paperchase.
Customers can choose what variety and percentage of chocolate for their drink as well as adding extras and making it iced or hot.
Laura Bexon, store manager, said: “We’re completely unique and I think it’s going to create a good buzz in the area.
“As a business in Nottingham, we’re looking forward to using our ‘Knoopology’ to help other people experiment with chocolate and find the chocolate that is perfect for them.”
Knoops has many stores across the UK and this is the first to open in Midlands.
The store offered a free small drink to everyone who signed up to their app before the opening.
Laura added: “There has been a steady flow of people coming in this morning which is nice.
“We’ve had really good feedback from everyone that has come in.
“A lot of people have already seen the brand in London or had our retail tubes at home before so they’re excited be able to come in store and get their drink here.”
There are also vegan drinks and a range of milk alternatives to accommodate for dietary requirements.
The iced chocolate and milkshakes drinks will be perfect for summer and they will also soon be serving ice cream, Laura says.
Adding extras such as salt, cinnamon, chilli, orange and mint can counterbalance the taste of the drink, making it a customisable experience for individuals.
The store in Nottingham aims to help people experiment with chocolate and bring back childhood memories with their drinks.
