A decision on long-standing plans to rejuvenate part of Sneinton with dozens of new homes and apartments could be made this week.
Applicant Landmark Capital Investment first submitted plans to Nottingham City Council for permission to build the new homes on the derelict site around Burrows Court tower block in 2017.
But the plans have been continually delayed after issues with the Section 106 funding, which is used to mitigate impacts on the local community.
The plans now state the developer would be asked for £182,000 in contributions if the plans are approved.
The application is for fifteen two and three-bedroom houses and an apartment block containing forty-one flats off Windmill Lane.
Twelve of the flats would be two bedrooms and twenty-nine one bedroom properties.
The plans do not involve the nearby nineteen-storey tower block, which once stood empty before being renovated in 2019.
One nearby resident objected on the grounds of on-street parking, but others said the proposals would “bring the area back to life”.
The plans will be discussed by the council’s planning committee on June 22, after being deferred in April.
If approved, the existing two-storey car park on the site would be retained for residents living in the new flats.
20 per cent of the homes will be affordable housing.
