There are delays on the A60 north of Mansfield in Nottinghamshire after a lorry hit a railway bridge and scattered its load over the road.

The trailer of the vehicle struck the bridge near the junction with Elmfield, Warsop, early on Wednesday morning and scattered what appears to be a delivery of storage containers across the road.

The A60 Mansfield road is blocked in both directions and Nottinghamshire Police are at the scene.

Stagecoach bus company says its 11 and 12 services may experience delays due to a diversion in place. Buses are unable to serve Leeming Lane, Spion Kop and Warsop Motor Co.

Long delays are expected between Mansfield and Warsop while the debris is cleared.
