Delays on major Nottingham road as bus crashes into traffic lights at roundabout

A bus crashing into traffic lights at a city centre roundabout is causing delays on a major Nottingham road.

At around 2.20pm this afternoon (Wednesday July 12), an i4 bus was pictured having gone straight on at the top of Maid Marian Way crashing into traffic lights.

Traffic has since built up around the area with tailbacks a lane closed off with an ambulance car in attendance.

Director of community protection at the City Council Andrew Errington Tweeted a picture of the crash and said: “Suspect there will be some traffic delays on Maid Marion [sic] Way following this accident,

“Everyone looks OK, 999 on [sic] route.”
