Dexter Blackstock in action for Nottingham Forest

Rotherham look set to sign former Forest forward Dexter Blackstock just days after his contract with Nottingham Forest was terminated by mutual agreement.

He could join up with Chris Burke, Danny Collins, Matt Derbyshire, Greg Halford and Kelvin Wilson who all joined The Millers from Nottingham Forest.

Rotherham are leading the chase for the striker but they are not believed to be the only club interested in signing the free agent.

This comes after Nottingham Forest and Dexter Blackstock mutually agreed to terminate the 30 year old’s contract.

Blackstock joined the Reds from QPR in 2009 and made the move permanent later that same summer.

The Antigua and Barbuda international made 170 appearances for Forest scoring 44 goals in all competitions.

Blackstock scored in his first ever game for Forest at the City Ground, scoring the winner against Bristol City in a 3-2 game on April 11 2009.

He has made six appearances for Antigua and Barbuda and has scored twice, with his first goal coming in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier against the United States on October 12 2012.
