Firefighters rescued a dog from a fire which tore through two houses and three vehicles on a street in Bilsthorpe.
Crews were called to the blaze which is thought to have started in a car on Highfields Drive at 5.34pm on Tuesday (June 13).
Firefighters from six fire stations including a crew from Chesterfield tackled the blaze, which spread to two other vehicles and two houses.
No one was seriously hurt but a pet dog was rescued.
Firefighters using breathing equipment and an aerial ladder platform got the fire under control and the incident was declared over at 9.08pm.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Mansfield, Edwinstowe, Blidworth, Ashfield and Southwell were also involved and an investigation has started into what caused the blaze.
