An outstanding month for Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has seen him win the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for February.
His form meant manager Dougie Freedman gave him the captain’s armband with Jack Hobbs injured and the 24-year-old has scored five goals in six matches during the period.
They include two stunning finishes, one a curling effort against Wigan and the other a free-kick which took the team to a home victory against Bournemouth.
Lansbury beat off competition from Tom Ince, Odion Ighalo and Marco Silvestri to take the award and Freedman praised the midfielder for his recent efforts.
