Extra police patrols after schoolgirls approached by man in West Bridgford

Police are investigating two separate reports in West Bridgford of a man approaching girls as they walked home from school and asking them to get into his car.

The first happened at around 3.20pm on Wednesday (September 5) in Ascott Gardens, near Compton Acres.

The second was at around 3.10pm on Thursday (September 6) at the junction of Greythorn Drive and Waddington Drive. The girls were 15 and 11-years-old.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “We’ve stepped up extra school patrols and are appealing to anyone with any information.

“The man is described as white with short brown hair, short facial hair and in his early to mid-20s. He was driving a small hatchback car.”
