A Ferrari thought to be worth around £150,000 has been towed by parking officers who spotted it had no tax or MOT.

The car was taken away by Community Protection staff from a Nottingham city centre street on Tuesday morning.

Officers tweeted a photo of it arriving on the back of a trailer at the Nottingham City Council vehicle pound, on Handel Street, saying: “This prancing horse has just been found by the team with no road tax and no MOT, vehicle removed.”

No further details about the car or owner were released but the vehicle appears to be a Ferrari California, which sells for in excess of £150,000 when new.

On Monday officers said they had fined two drivers over the weekend who had parked in disabled bays using the badges of people who had died last year.
