Watch: Forest and Derby fans take bitter rivalry into weight loss battle

Video: Andrew and Ken go face to face for Notts TV

Two opposing fans of Forest and Derby County are going face to face in a competitive weight loss challenge to raise money for the homeless community.

Reds fan Andrew Pasiak, 38, and Rams supporter Ken Lyon, 35, are shedding the Christmas weight to gain pounds for homeless charities across the region.

The Friary in West Bridgford, and The Padley Group in Derby are the charities the two friends are collecting the cash for.

Whoever loses the least amount of weight has to pay for a ticket for the other fan to watch the next East Midlands derby.

Forest season ticket holder Andrew sees no chance of him losing: “It would be absolutely terrible. I can’t see myself paying for the ticket.”

“I’ll eat less, drink less booze. Play Squash with my brother. Just get out and about more. Essentially be more active”

Ken says going against his rival team is added motivation: “For any Derby fan beating Forest is the ultimate and beating Andrew at this is the ultimate.

“We are going to lose pounds, and raise pounds. We are going to win for the Rams.”

The two slimmers will see which side has lost the most weight before the Reds take on the Rams on March 10 at the City Ground. The loser will pay for the victors ticket.
