Forest deny claims of team interference by owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi

Nottingham Forest have firmly rejected reports Paul Williams could walk away from the club because of interference in team selection from owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi.
The allegations emerged on Wednesday in the wake of the club’s 2-1 away defeat at Reading.
Quoting unnamed sources, a national newspaper claimed Williams could quit because Al-Hasawi was exerting pressure over team selection.
Williams was appointed as the club’s head coach until the end of the season following the sacking of Dougie Freedman last month.
Forest said in a statement: “The club deny all accusations and allegations of this sort.”
The claims are expected to be addressed further during a press conference at 1pm today.
The truth will be revealed soon and we know exactly who is behind all of this. #nffc

Following a series of Tweets on Tuesday in which he tried to reassure fans over the club’s form and search for a new manager, Al-Hasawi appeared to allude to the claims in a further Tweet on Wednesday, saying: “The truth will be revealed soon and we know exactly who is behind all of this.”
