Nottinghamshire Police were called to Hayton following a single vehicle collision which resulted in the death of a four-year-old boy.
The boy was travelling in a white Iveco van with a 44-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl.
They were driving down Main Street in Hayton when they had a single vehicle collision on Sunday, June 1.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to the scene before 1:45pm.
The young boy died following the tragic crash as a result of his injuries.
The other two occupants were taken to hospital, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening according to the police.
The road has now reopened after the collision.
