General election 2015: Counting underway

Counting is underway in the eleven Nottinghamshire constituencies in the 2015 General Election.

Counting in the local elections for Nottingham City council and seven Nottinghamshire district and borough councils will begin later on Friday. The people in Mansfield have also voted to elect a new mayor.

Results timing

General election results from Gedling and Rushcliffe are expected to be announced at 5am and the result from Bassetlaw are due at 5.30am.

While results from Mansfield, Newark, Nottingham East, North and South should be announced around 4am and voters in Sherwood are expected to have to wait until 6am.

Results for the local elections are expected by Friday afternoon.
