Video: Dako Flying Angels training for London Gymnastics Festival
One of Nottingham’s oldest sports teams is training for the London Gymnastics Festival.
Dako started up in 1895 in Sneinton, training boys as gymnasts. The club is still going strong and its flagship team are known as the flying angels.
The squad twists, turns and flies over a vault – all over the country.
As a team gymnastics club, it aims to develop team spirit and trust. Many of the moves rely on an individual’s faith in someone else’s strength and timing.
