Nottingham lit up the night sky on Friday as the city celebrated its tenth annual Light Night.
The celebration focuses on light installations which change the look and feel of the city centre at night and capture its culture and creativity.
Thousands of people took part in what is meant to be an event which encourages families to visit late in the evening.
More than 50 free events and activities took place across the city.
