Nottinghamshire Police are investigating the sudden death of a four-year-old boy from Sherwood.
Officers were called to an address at Ventnor Rise, Sherwood, on Wednesday morning at around 8.30am.
The child was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham and was pronounced dead briefly afterwards.
A police statement said:
Officers are now working alongside partners to establish the circumstances surrounding his death, which is being treated as unexpected and unexplained.
