Video: A sneak-peak of the Nottingham Beach a day before it opens
Organisers have claimed the Nottingham Beach is ‘bigger and better than ever’ ahead of its opening tomorrow.
It returns for the 11th year and will run for seven weeks from Thursday (July 13) until Sunday September 3.
New for this year is a beach bar, a barbecue shack and a gin bar.
Event planning manager Nick Bass said: “We’ve got new rides and attractions this year as well and the thatching, finishing and structures are better built than what would have been originally.
“There’s a lot of different things that people notice such as improved lighting and new water features in the pool this year.
“There’s something for everyone and the best thing about it is that it’s free.”
Bar manager David McKenna echoed the thoughts of Nick agreeing that there is ‘something for everyone’.
He said: “If you join me on the bar, there’s a range of cocktails along with the gin garden.”
