Julie Semper death: Calverton man charged with murder

A 24-year-old Calverton man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a Mapperley Park address.

The body of 47-year-old Julie Semper was found at her home in Magdela Road on Wednesday afternoon.

James McCarthy, of Collyer Road, Calverton, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court later today to face the charge.

A post-mortem examination showed that Miss Semper died of stab wounds.

Ms Semper had been working at Bilborough College in Bilborough Road,  Nottingham since September last year.

In a statement the College said: “She was a valued and popular member of the team and will be sadly missed by the students she supported so well and the staff who worked with her.”
