A 28-year-old man whose arrest led to a temporary closure of Lady Bay Bridge has been jailed for possessing a knife.
Shane Baldwin, of no fixed abode, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, charged with having a bladed article.
Baldwin pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months in prison.
He also admitted an assault which took place on September 8, 2014 and was given 12 weeks custody, which will run concurrently with his six months jail sentence.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to fulfil an 18-month community order imposed in November, 2013 after an assault and was given another six weeks in prison, which will be served at the same time as his other sentences, meaning Shane Baldwin will serve a total of six months in prison.
