The M1 has reopened in Nottinghamshire after a crash closed the southbound carriageway for almost an hour early on Monday morning.
The route was closed between junctions 27 and 26, between Nuthall and Annesley, by the wreckage of an overturned car.
Long delays built up before the route re-opened at around 8.25am.
Highways England said drivers should expect queues while the traffic clears, which could put more than an hour on people’s journeys.
It is not clear if anyone has been seriously hurt in the crash.
