A 26-year-old man has been jailed for seven years and two months for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Teon Bickley of Allendale Avenue in Aspley appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday (May 2) having admitted to four counts of sexual activity with the child.

Detective Constable Chris Taylor from Nottingham’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit said: “Bickley is a dangerous and violent paedophile.

“Not only did he sexually abuse this young girl, but he also smashed up the house when he was discovered.

“His arrogance and aggression continued during his interview and he has not shown any remorse for his actions – I am pleased with the custodial sentence.

“The victim should be proud of the strength and bravery that she has had throughout the process, along with the close support of her family and those of a partner counselling agency who offered specialised care before and after the trial process.”

Bickley was arrested on November 5 2017 when officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Bickley’s house and were concerned about the child when they found her at the scene.

Bickley originally denied any sexual contact had taken place but changed his plea on the second day of trial admitting to the four sex offences along with one count of criminal damage.

As well as the prison sentence, a Restraining Order was granted to protect the child and her family and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also given to him with conditions to control his behaviour after his release.
