A man has attempted an armed robbery at a restaurant in Nottingham with police appealing for witnesses and information to come forward.
The man was armed with a hammer and entered the Millers Barn Beefeater on Millennium Way West in Cinderhill at around 1.10am on Tuesday (June 19).
He threatened staff and demanded money before making his way to the reception of the adjoining Premier Inn hotel where he again threatened staff before fleeing empty handed.
No-one was injured.
The suspect is black, aged in his 30s and of medium build; he was wearing black clothing.
Detectives are linking this incident with another robbery at the same Premier Inn hotel which happened at around 2am on Thursday June 14.
Then, a man armed with a hammer jumped over the counter and stole a small amount of cash from the till before leaving; no-one was injured.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call Notts Police on 101 quoting incident number 36 of June 19.
