A 26-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the crash on Woodthorpe Road.
Thomas Burney, of no fixed abode, is also accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle over the alcohol limit.
It follows an incident on Friday, in which 19-year-old Byrony Hollands was killed.
Her boyfriend Ben Evans, 20, was also seriously injured and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Burney is to be remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 10 September 2015.
