Man charged following alleged headbutt in Newark pub

A man has been charged for an alleged assault in a Newark pub.

Liam Townhill, of Heysham Close, Lincoln, is alleged to have headbutted the victim inside the Muskham Ferry on Saturday, June 17.

And theĀ 47-year-old man was charged on Saturday, July 1, after Notts Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.

A force spokesman said: “The victim had been enjoying a drink with his wife and three children on Saturday, June 17, and had gone to the bar when he was pushed and then head butted.”

Townhill will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 17.
