A man has appeared in court in connection with the death of Reuben Morris-Laing in St Ann’s.

Remee Jarrett, 29, of Kelvedon Gardens, St Ann’s, has been charged with murder and was at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (March 27).

He was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court tomorrow (March 28).

Mr Morris-Laing, 21, was was found with knife injuries outside the Premier Express shop, on Robin Hood Street, just before 9.30pm last Wednesday night (March 22).

He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre but died of his injuries.

Mr Jarrett has also been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent on another man involved in the same incident, and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 22-year-old woman, who was also arrested in relation to the incident, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
