Man in critical condition following Sutton-in-Ashfield collision

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital after a collision in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The crash happened on Coxmoor Road just before 8pm yesterday (Saturday 25 February 2017) involving a red panel van and a black saloon car.

The 29-year-old van driver was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with injuries but is in a stable condition.

Local roads were closed while emergency services attended the incident and were re-opened just after 4am today (Sunday 26 January 2017).

Anyone with any information about the collision is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 868 of February 25 2017.
