A man has died after emergency services closed off a street in Nottingham city centre on Sunday.

Notts Police say they were called to Talbot Street just before noon on Sunday (January 7) after reports of concerns for the 31-year-old’s safety.

East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended and the road was closed off.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “The man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after officers arrived. His death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

“A file is being prepared for the Coroner in relation to the man’s death and officers are offering support to the man’s family following the incident.”
