A man has been charged with raping a woman in Nottingham 30 years ago.
John Bainbridge, 54, of Beckett Street, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, was arrested by officers from Nottinghamshire Police on Saturday morning.
He has been charged with one count of rape in connection with an offence alleged to have happened in Vernon Road, Basford, in May 1986.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.
