A man was stabbed during a row which broke out in the aftermath of a road collision in Bulwell.
Notts Police were called to St Albans Road just after midday on Sunday after reports of a crash involving three vehicles.
Officers said a row then followed involving four men.
One man suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A Notts Police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray. He remains in police custody.
“Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police.”
Affray is an offence which involves a fight in a group, often in a public place.
