Nottingham nightclub the forum closed on Monday after eight years in the city.

It’s the latest in a series of more traditional big late-night venues in town to either shut or undergo a makeover over the last 10 years.

Halo, on Goldsmith Street, shut in 2009, the same year Isis, on Redfield Way, closed its doors.

Then earlier this year Oceana, on Lower Parliament Street, underwent a £800,000 transformation to become Pryzm.

With evening economy undergoing big changes, we asked some people in Nottingham how they define the perfect night out.
