McBusted arrive at Nottingham’s Capital FM ahead of their UK tour

The super group have come to Nottingham ahead of their second national tour, called The Most Excellent Adventure Tour.

The band, which was formed in 2013, combines members of the pop rock boy bands McFly and Busted including Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd, James Bourne and Matt Willis.

The tour from March 12 to April 22 will see the band perform in Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, London, Cardiff, Brighton, Bournemouth, Dublin and Belfast as well as at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena on April 18 and 19.

Harry Judd, a former member of McFly, said of the bands formation: “We have been friends with these guys for years so it wasn’t like two bands that didn’t know each other who had a meeting it was very natural and easy.”

The name of the tour was the idea of former McFly member Dougie Poynter.

“I threw the name out there then somebody interpreted that as an arcade game so we have gone down the arcade theme. Without giving too much away it’s arcade themed.”

Harry said that the arcade theme sums up the vibe of the concert.

But the boys were keeping details of the Nottingham concert close to their chests.

James Bourne, former member of Busted said: “You can expect to hear the hits of McFly and Busted and the future hits of McBusted.”

Tickets can be purchased online at the Capital FM arena website.
