Nottingham fell silent for a minute at noon to remember the victims of the Tunisian beach massacre, including social worker, John Stollery.
Prime Minister David Cameron called for a national minutes silence to remember those who lost their lives on Marhaba Beach.
John Stollery, 58, from north Nottinghamshire worked for the local authority for 33 years and was amongst the 38 who were shot dead by student Seifeddine Rezgui at the beach resort of Sousse.
Hundreds gathered at County Hall to remember the Nottingham social worker.
St Edmund’s Church in Walesby also held a service in memory of John and the Tunisia beach victims.
