Video: Armand Traore speaks about wanting to get to his best and last season’s struggle
New Nottingham Forest signing Armand Traore spoke to Notts TV about what he’s hoping to achieve personally and with the club this season.
Senegalese international Armand Traore signed for the Reds last Friday (July 29) on a free transfer after his contract expired with Queens Park Rangers.
Traore is Forest’s sixth signing of the summer so far and is relishing the chance to play at the City Ground.
We want to give the fans everything they want to see
He said: “When I was playing for other Championship sides, Forest was always a club that you know about because they’ve always had really good players.
“I’ve always liked the way the Reds have played, even in the past and it’s such a massive club.
“I’ve heard from Henri Lansbury that the fans are a great bunch so we want to give them everything they want to see.”
Henri Lansbury is a really good friend
Armand Traore said that being close friends with Lansbury has already helped him to settle into life in Nottingham.
He said: “I’ve known Henri since I was 15, 16 from back in the days at Arsenal and he’s become a good friend of mine.
“We go away together on Summer holidays, usually to America, and sometimes in London we’ll have something to eat with some of the Arsenal boys; he’s a good friend.
“It always helps seeing familiar faces at a new club, especially being shown where to eat near you and what the town is like.”
