A dance event in Nottingham celebrated the city’s diverse global talent – while raising money for refugees and asylum seekers.

Dance Mosaic was held at the Nottingham Contemporary art gallery on Tuesday (December 3).

The Nottingham Refugee Forum charity, which supports refugees and asylum seekers, set up the event to raise money for the charity’s weekly food bank.

Local groups performed a wide range of global forms of dance, from Brazilian samba to American swing, during the night.

Ophélie Allard, the charity’s Fundraising Coordinator, said the night showcased “the variety of art” across Nottingham while highlighting the artistic contribution migration has brought to the city.
