Nottingham city centre fight victim named as Josh Bradley

The victim who died after a fight on Thurland Street has been named officially by police as Josh Bradley, a teenager from Bulwell.

The 19-year-old died in the early hours of Sunday morning outside the Yamas  Mediterranean restaurant.

He was a member of Bilborough Community Boxing club since he was 7.

Head coach Ray Ricketts told Notts TV that he was a “very talented young man”.

Josh had won the Amateur Boxing Association (ABA) title when he was 13.

Like a lot of teenage boys he was also a keen gamer, with his twitter account showing records of various games he has played.

Searches continued throughout the day in Thurland Street at junction with Clinton Street, Pelham Street and Clumber Street, but have since been lifted.

Businesses have now re-opened in the area after losing a day of trade on Sunday.

Phillip Challis, owner of Atlas Café on Pelham Street said:  “It affects everybody when something like this happens.”

“We should all be able to feel safe  whether we’re out during the day or the night.”

Jobe Stephens who lives above the Thurland pub was woken by the commotion outside his front door.

He said: “I saw all the paramedics outside but I think he was already gone by then.”

Three men have now been charged with violent disorder following the incident on Sunday.

Muhamad Adnan, of Middleton Boulevard and Callum Levi Ibrahim, of Belfry Way (both 22) and Azeem Khan, 28, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court to face the charges. They were refused bail by the Chairman of the magistrates bench Larissa Parkinson.

The court heard another man is still being questioned on suspicion of murder.

A 23-year-old has been bailed on suspicion of murder, and two men aged 19 and 20 arrested on suspicion of affray were also bailed.
