Nottingham faith leaders unite against terrorism

Faith leaders in Nottingham gathered at vigil

Faith leaders from across Nottingham attend a prayer vigil to show solidarity with the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks.

Representatives from all faiths were at the event on Monday at the Karimia Institute on Berridge Road West.

Dr Musharraf Hussain, the Chief Imam at the Karimia Institute which hosted the vigil, said: “All human beings are united against the terrorists because any kind of atrocity of this kind is unacceptable in every religion and community.”

“This is a chance for the muslim community to show that we believe in freedom of speech and the values of our liberal-democracy.”
